AT WORK

I’m truly grateful to B360 for the incredible opportunity to join the Virtual Internship Program with Robotist Group and Nuwona as a Digital Marketing Intern, starting on September 1st, 2025. Shifting from my background in economics to the fast-paced world of digital marketing has been an eye-opening and rewarding experience far beyond what I imagined.

From the very beginning, I was challenged to step outside my comfort zone. My initial tasks included creating articles, infographics, banners, and newsletters, while also learning how to develop marketing strategies, conduct brand research, and master techniques to capture audience attention and boost social media engagement, all things I had never done before. These challenges were daunting at first, but the support of my mentors, Mariam and Jonathan, made all the difference. Their guidance and patience pushed me to keep improving until I gained confidence in my work.

As the weeks progressed, I developed essential marketing skills and learned the art of crafting content that truly connects with customers. Beyond my role as an intern, I embraced being a team player, motivating my peers and contributing to our shared success. This experience revealed strengths within myself and my fellow interns that we hadn’t recognized before, fostering a genuine sense of collaboration.

The internship also sharpened my organizational and communication skills, enabling smooth teamwork in a virtual setting. Despite working for different organizations, we supported one another wholeheartedly. It was never about competition, it was about helping each other grow and achieving more together than we could individually. This spirit of teamwork made the experience truly special.

To my mentors at Robotist Group and Nuwona, Mariam and Jonathan, your guidance helped me discover hidden strengths in marketing. From article writing and research to creating infographics, newsletters, and banners, you pushed me to grow in ways I never imagined.

To my mentor at UNILUS, Owen, thank you for your support and the conversations that made settling into the workspace so much easier. Your constant check-ins created a sense of comfort and belonging that I truly appreciated.

Finally, to my fellow virtual interns, Des’ree, Stanley, and Joy, thank you for making this journey so special. We faced challenges together, celebrated wins together, and supported each other every step of the way. This experience was about self-development and growth and we achieved that. I’m proud of how far each of you has come, and I’m grateful for the friendships we built. You all became like family to me.

This journey has been enriching, unforgettable, and deeply meaningful because of each one of you. Thank you for believing in me and for making this experience one I will cherish forever.

HIGHLIGHTS AND CHALLENGES DURING THE SWISS INTERNSHIP

The most rewarding part of my internship has been the opportunity to gain new skills and knowledge while building meaningful connections that will undoubtedly benefit me in the future. Collaborating with colleagues from Switzerland and Senegal broadened my perspective and gave me insight into diverse work cultures. Being able to work remotely from Zambia and still get work done was empowering and played a big role in making this internship a success.

One of the highlights was learning about Swiss culture and sharing aspects of my Zambian heritage, those cultural exchanges were both fun and enlightening. Another personal highlight was experiencing this journey alongside my girlfriend and best friend, Joy Gumbo. Watching her excel in her tasks and grow professionally filled me with pride and made the entire experience even more enjoyable.

I also cherished the chance to strengthen relationships with other interns. Engaging in various activities together and supporting one another through challenges created a sense of unity and made the experience truly memorable.

Of course, there were challenges. Language barriers sometimes made communication tricky, but we always found common ground and worked smoothly as a team. Internet connectivity posed minor issues, yet B360’s proactive approach in addressing these problems demonstrated their commitment to supporting us effectively. Another challenge was the sense of disconnect that came from not being physically present with colleagues, it was harder to “read the room” at times. Despite this, we adapted and made the most of the virtual environment.

Overall, this internship was a journey of growth, collaboration, and cultural exchange, an experience I will always treasure.

MY FUTURE PLAN

I plan to further my studies in Economics and Finance to deepen my understanding of these fields and set myself apart professionally. Strengthening my expertise in these areas will give me a solid foundation for future opportunities.

Beyond academics, I’m passionate about venturing into the agriculture sector. My goal is to start projects that not only expand my knowledge but also create sustainable income streams, both for myself and for others. I want these initiatives to empower communities and improve lives.

In addition, I intend to build on the marketing and writing skills I gained during the internship. Writing meaningful, impactful articles and continuing to grow in the digital marketing space is something I’m excited about. These skills will complement my career goals and allow me to share ideas that inspire and inform
