Career Bridge
From graduation to labor market
Program Career Bridge
The program “Career Bridge” will be offered for the first time in 2026. It is a further development of our program “Virtual Internships”.
The Career Bridge aims to improve career entry opportunities for university graduates in Southern Africa. They are given the opportunity to complete an intensive six-month program based on a hybrid model with three pillars:
Training
by international experts
Duration: 4 weeks
incl. physical Career Starter Week, ICT-training and Hackathon-preparations
Virtual Hackathons
by Swiss companies
Duration: 10 weeks
incl. 3 Hackathons for different companies
Physical internship
with a company from Southern Africa
Duration: 12 weeks
with a partner company of B360
Time Frame
The Career Bridge starts training in June and ends in January of the following year.
Areas
The program is currently being offered at the University of Lusaka UNILUS, addressing students majoring Economics & Business (incl. Banking, Finance, Accounting) and IT & Computer Science.
Participant Profile
The participants are Bachelor graduates without practical work experience. Their level is comparable to Bachelor students at a university of applied sciences in Europe. The students speak English.
Workplace
Students work from their home country in Southern Africa. They are provided with a workspace at the university. B360 and the university equip the students with internet, laptops and headphones.
The program will be piloted in 2026 together with UNILUS.
Costs
All costs are currently borne by the STAUB KAISER FOUNDATION.
Hackathons
The participants work on the Hackathons in groups. Each Hackathon lasts four weeks, preceded by a trial Hackathon for B360.
The teams are given a problem statement to solve by a Swiss company. They work on it according to a clear structure and present their solution at the end.
