Update November 2026
Highlight and News from B360
We are excited to share some big news and a past highlight from October with you.
B360 goes Malawi
Sometimes opportunities arise that you simply can’t miss. That’s exactly what happened to us with an inquiry from Malawi: Chimango Chihana studied at NUST and completed a Northbound internship in Switzerland in 2022. She is from Malawi and currently works as an auditor in her home country. Her request for B360 education partnerships to get involved in Malawi led to various preliminary discussions and assessments. In September 2026, Sabina Balmer traveled to the Blantyre region and visited several universities. Chimango Chihana was our key contact – she organized all the visits and accompanied Sabina Balmer on her trip.
Meetings with university officials and visiting various campuses provided a good overview and insight, and the conclusion is clear: We will send two experts to the Catholic University in Malawi in spring 2027!
During their assignment, the experts will conduct two “Career Starter Weeks” (CSW) and gain valuable experience: This will allow us to better get to know the country, the university, and the students.
We are convinced that we can also make an important contribution in Malawi to combat the high youth unemployment. Malawi is one of the poorest countries in Africa; its young population is large and growing rapidly, and there are not enough jobs. Therefore, one focus of the CSW will be on entrepreneurship, equipping young students with the tools they need to start their own businesses.
CSW by B360 Namibia
October marked a first: For the first time, B360 Namibia was responsible for organizing two Career Starter Weeks (CSW). To that end, Thomas Weber and Antonius Knep (LGT) traveled to Windhoek in October.
During the two weeks, B360 Namibia welcomed 17 and 16 participants, respectively. There was a diverse mix of applications: Some participants are still studying, while others have already graduated. The participants ranged in age from 20 to 35, their fields of study varied widely, and they came from over 10 different universities. In addition to the experts from Switzerland, B360 Namibia was also able to count on the support of eight Namibian professionals. The local experts are familiar with the on-the-ground requirements and bring this important expertise to the CSWs. With this approach, we are consistently pursuing our “going local” approach.
We are pleased that the CSWs were successfully carried out and would like to thank all the experts involved.

Outlook
The year 2027 is just around the corner. For us, this means finalizing the last details for the first semester’s internships and assignments and continuing to plan for the second semester of 2027. We’re also working on our South-South program and the Career Bridge, additional CSWs of B360 Namibia are in the planning, and many B360 Stories are in the pipeline. In addition, we’re looking back on the year and working on our annual report.
