at work

I worked in the human resource team for a period of 3 months. It was one of the carrier path I have always thought about. I was amazed to discover how wide and diverse the department was. Since I had a narrow definition of human resources, every day was a new adventure where I could learn new tasks and the roles of each member within the team . I had the opportunity to learn from different sub teams within the HR team, each member was a specialist in their field, and it was amazing learning from them. At first,  I was stressed out and worried of meeting new people at work,  but all of my fear quickly disappeared after spending  my first week with them and I really enjoyed every step of the process.

Host Family

My two host families were amazing. I really enjoyed spending time with them,  learning more about their lives, backgrounds and doing some activities with them. I never felt alone because I knew that  I could rely on them,  and it was comforting to be treated as a family member and feeling care and love from them.

Highlights and challenges in switzerland

The most challenging part for me was the food. I had a hard time at each meal time because my host families are vegetarians and I am not. I  also experience online banking problem which was certainly due to my outdated devices.

My future plans

I plan to apply for Master scholarship in Finance or Human Resource related field in Europe, America, Asia and Africa. During that period I will be studying, I will also apply for any job that my economic degree can help me obtain and save up my salary, to invest in some business ideas I have been wanting to start in Congo DRC.
