Being part of Career Bridge 2026, run by B360 education partnerships, has been a meaningful experience for me. I had the opportunity to step outside my comfort zone, work with people from different backgrounds, and contribute ideas to real-world challenges.
Trainings
The Career Bridge helped me grow in areas that I know will be important for my future career. During the Career Starter Week (CSW), I improved my presentation and interview skills, learned about career anchors, and understood how personal branding can help me present myself professionally. The ICT training also strengthened my Excel knowledge through spreadsheet and data-processing training at general and advanced levels. During the Preparation Week, I learned how to approach Hackathons step by step using the Problem Framing, Ideation, Decision, and Build and Validate Canvases, Experiment Cards, and the Presentation Canvas. These tools gave me a clearer understanding of how to move from identifying a problem to developing and presenting a practical solution.
Teamwork with my Career Bridge colleagues
One of the things I appreciated most about the Career Bridge was the opportunity to work with people from different backgrounds. We shared ideas based on our individual strengths and discussed the problem statements together before deciding on the best way forward. Working with colleagues from fields such as economics and finance helped me realize that people can look at the same problem in very different ways, and that these different perspectives can make a solution stronger. I also learned the importance of listening to others, being open to new ideas, and working together rather than relying only on my own perspective.
Highlights and challenges during the Hackathons
The Hackathons gave me an opportunity to apply what I had learned to real business challenges. For B360, our team proposed a tiered partnership model and developed an Excel-based partner scorecard to help the organization assess and select potential partners. For Swiss Business Protection, we worked on their product sheets, as well as suggesting a LinkedIn content series to increase awareness. The Roche Hackathon was also a great experience and gave me another opportunity to learn and work with others. My biggest highlight was knowing that I could contribute ideas that added real value to the problems presented to us. One challenge I faced was adjusting to early mornings and travelling from Chamba Valley to Silverest. It took some getting used to, but I gradually adapted to the routine and learned to manage the change.
My future plans
My next goal is to complete my internship and gain more practical experience in the industry. I want to use this opportunity to learn from professionals, build my confidence, and understand how the knowledge I gained at the university can be applied in the workplace. In the future, I hope to pursue a Master’s degree in either Data Science or Networking. I am excited about continuing to learn, discovering where my strengths can take me, and building a career in the technology field.
Personal message
I am grateful to the B360 team for giving me the opportunity to be part of the Career Bridge 2026. The program has given me more than training; it has allowed me to meet new people, learn from different perspectives, challenge myself, and build connections that I hope will be valuable in the future. My advice to future participants is to come with an open mind, be willing to learn, and make the most of every opportunity the program offers. Do not be afraid to share your ideas, ask questions, or learn from people whose experiences differ from yours. I hope that, as I continue growing in my career, I will also have the opportunity to give back by sharing the knowledge and skills I have gained through B360.
