Career Starter Week (CSW)

Cooperation with university staff and Namibian professionals

The collaboration with the entire university staff, and with the professionals who were invited to take part in the sessions in order to share their personal experiences of recruitment, the job market and entrepreneurship, was really excellent. We would like to specially mention and thank Nico Smith, our first contact person at NUST (Namibian University of Science & Technology), who welcomed us with an open heart and was highly committed to ensuring the smooth planning, organization and delivery of the two “Career Starter Week” runs. We received outstanding support on the ground and many valuable insights about the people, culture and economy of Namibia and its challenges, which actually helped us to tailor our program to make it even more relevant and effective.

We were also given a lot of tips for excursions – the things that you really must see and experience in Namibia – which definitely meant that, following our stay, we both decided we have to return. We were fascinated and inspired by the vast, beautiful country and the friendly people.

Collaboration with students and personal highlights

The participants showed great interest, high motivation, appreciation and huge engagement throughout the entire Career Starter Week. They were very eager to learn and were open to the new methods; leaving their own comfort zone in order to practice and develop their personal skill set. It was fantastic to see how quickly they picked up new things and how they developed and performed right from day one.

The interview sessions were among our biggest personal highlights, as they gave us the opportunity to practice with each participant individually. Feedback from many of the participants showed that these 1:1 sessions were really eye-opening and helpful.

The group presentations at the end of the week were definitely among the highlights. It was great to see how hard the individual groups had worked on their case study, and everyone was very proud to present their work at the end. The presentations showed that the participants had understood the training content and were able to build on what they had learned. In addition, we had very good discussions and learned a lot from each other.

This B360 program definitely creates a win-win situation for students and the B360 experts. An unforgettable experience, which one should not miss!
