Occupational safety and health protection - topics that are so self-evident and highly prioritized for us. With every incident and accident in our country, we learn new insights, take measures and learn to implement the knowledge we have gained in daily life.

Cooperation with university staff

My goal was - in coordination with the local teaching staff - to share my practical experiences - the way in which sustainable and preventive measures can be defined, workplaces can be made safe, ergonomic, but also process-technically optimized, and how these can be audited and how to fundamentally evaluate hazards and train them.
I am very grateful for the helpful, supporting and cooperative attitude of the local teaching staff, with whom I had a very good and close relationship during the preparation. Thanks to the good communication, the demands and needs for practical case studies and group work were clear to me, and I was also able to prepare appropriate material, pictures, videos, exercises - and even an exam test.

collaboration with students

The students had a thirst for knowledge and repeatedly asked very good questions. The interactive nature of group work and creative task solving seemed to be new to them, but also very welcomed. I am convinced that they have learned a lot about how to apply theoretical knowledge in certain situations.

Memorable event

A very special moment was our excursion, where we were able to visit the university's workshop together with the students. This meant they were able to gain very practical experience and give good tips to the school staff working there. A first small professional experience with a consulting role - it couldn't have been organized better. At the request of the local teaching staff, the students also took an exam - of course also with creative situational tasks. I was very happy to see how well what they had learned was reflected in the solutions.

expectancies

All in all, I can say that the expectations I placed on myself were met. I was also pleased with the feedback from my hosts - we have even already agreed on the topics for next year. So they are looking forward to me and my new assignment next year.

personal message

I am incredibly grateful that I could have this experience - the assignment enriched me personally and professionally and broadened my view of the world. I was able to get to know new people, friends, new cultures, climate, nature - in some moments this even affected me emotionally - in a positive sense. Thanks very much for everything.
