Credit Suisse Asset Management, Zurich
February 1 – April 27, 2012
The internship of Charmain was an enrichment for both sides. We were able to learn more about Namibia’s culture and Chairman had the opportunity to visit various departments of Credit Suisse Asset Management. During her internship, Charmain actively supported us in various projects and convinced all of us with her very dedicated and cheerful personality. We kindly appreciate the great work!
Daniel Tretheway, Business Management CSAM
Martin has settled in very quickly in our department. After an introductory phase, he was able to support the teams in their daily work and in several projects. His frank and cheerful manner was appreciated by everybody. A highlight for us was to celebrate the National Day of Namibia with Martin and Charmain. The whole team wishes Martin all the best for the future!

Final presentation at CS with management and team members of Charmain and Martin: Philipp Krütli, Stefan Scherrer, Charmain Jagger, Martin Edward, Tamara Krieger, Dominic Züfle und Daniel Tretheway (f.l.t.r.)
During three months, Charmain Jagger and Martin Edward successfully completed their internship at Credit Suisse Asset Management (CSAM) in Zurich. Being students in their 4th bachelor year in the fields of Economics and Human Resources at the Polytechnic of Namibia, both profited a lot from their stay in Switzerland and acquired knowledge for their future business life in Namibia. According to their own statements, they have also improved their personality.
This internship has broadened my knowledge a lot. I got to know various strategies about satisfying internal and external customers. I will try to take the relevant information home and adapt and apply it to the local requirements. Swiss people are very polite and have a great sense of responsibility.
Martin Edward, Human Resource student at the Polytechnic of Namibia
Working for a big financial giant like Credit Suisse has not only sharpened me in a professional way but in a technical way too, it has been a journey which I will always treasure. I must admit that my greatest lessons came not necessarily from the work I did but rather from the people I worked with. It was a fun road, bumpy at times but I wouldn’t trade it for the world. I had a once in a million experience!
